Short version: your miles, fuel receipts and carrier details never leave your device.

Files and trip data

Files you open in Haulfile, and everything you type into it, are processed by code running in your browser. They are never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Data stored in your browser

Haulfile does not store miles or fuel; closing or refreshing the tab clears them. If you buy Pro, your license key is stored in local storage (key hf_license) so you don't have to re-enter it. If you use Pro's “Save carrier details”, the details you entered (carrier name, IFTA license number, FEIN or business number, base jurisdiction, units, signer name, title and phone) are stored in local storage (key hf_carriers) until you replace or forget them. No miles, routes or fuel are saved. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything.

Downloads

Printouts, CSV and Excel files are created on your device.

License validation

If you activate Pro, your license key (and nothing else) is sent to our payment provider's license API to confirm it is valid. When you click a buy button, the site asks the payment provider whether checkout is open (nothing about you or your data is sent).

Usage counts

The site counts page views and button clicks (for example “pricing viewed”) with a first-party request to this same website. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, sends no identifier and never includes your data. It is off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Hosting logs

Like any website, our host may log standard request data (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Payments

Purchases are processed by our merchant-of-record payment partner, which handles your payment details and sales tax under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.
